Scoop out the desired amount of whipped soap onto wet hands and use as you would any other soap. Rinse your hands and dry thoroughly. Keep in mind that a little bit goes a long way.
Because of the rich ingredients (like a healthy amount of certified organic shea butter), the lather will be quite different than the liquid and bar soaps. It will be quite creamy without a lot of bubbles, but it's still cleansing!
Your bar of soap has been strategically designed to last a long time. But this depends on how well you take care of your bar of soap. Here are a few tips to get the most life from your soap:
Keep it dry: Do not let your bar of soap sit in water, otherwise your soap will dissolve very quickly!
Store it outside the bathroom: Keep your unopened bar soap away from moisture. A hall closet works great. Some people have even stored the bars with their folded clothes to share the scent.
Use a soap dish: the more airflow you can get around your soap, the quicker it will dry. A dish with moisture-wicking potential or feet to elevate the soap work great!
Your liquid & whipped soaps should be used within 3 months of purchase. They do not have added preservatives, so treat them like a fresh product.
Your bar soap can be used up to a year after the purchase date.
All the soaps at Hyssop Tree are true soaps, which are quite rare. Most handmade soaps are actually cosmetics.

Believe it or not, I do. My soaps have been mistaken for factory-made more than once. I'll take it as a compliment... I put a lot of hard work into them!
Each soap is made in my Kentucky-based studio and undergoes a very rigorous process. Hyssop Tree soaps are anything but conventional.
I make each soap from scratch, never in plastic, according to my exclusive formula. It's a very time-intensive process, but it's the only way to make sure each soap meets my rigorous criteria.
Hyssop is an incredible ancient herb. In addition to making soap with it, Hyssop is actually the inspiration for this entire company!
Read the article, What Exactly is Hyssop, to find out how this amazing herb still brings healing and restoration to modern times.
This is probably the hardest and best part of my job. It's hard because I am very picky - I don't want to create dependency or anything else that can be harmful. It's the best because I get to see first-hand what a difference one bar of soap can make.
When I am looking for a place, I use these criteria:
Prayer. Long before I start looking, I begin praying. I also ask others to pray for me. I take this very seriously because I know that I need Godly wisdom to help me make good choices.
Need. The Lord has a very precious place in His heart for the forgotten members of society... people who are distanced by society and whose means of supporting themselves are stacked against them. I hope to bless and encourage the same people that are close to God's heart.
Sustainability. Instead of just handing out soap, I seek to partner with non-profit organizations who are helping people in need. That way our soap becomes part of someone's holistic journey out of need. It's a hand up, not a hand out.
Location. It's very important to focus our efforts locally. I think sometimes there's a glamour to helping others in far away places. While I have no problem with helping people in need, no matter where they are, I am committed to building our local community so that we can then effectively help others further away.
