This weekend was going to be epic – I was looking forward to making thousands of new friends and sharing Hyssop Tree with lots of new people at the Market. But the one thing I was looking forward to the most was the notes of encouragement that every single person was going to write on the Special Treasure quilt.
Special Treasure is an extraordinary quilt for an extraordinary girl. This quilt was going to be part of a new start for a child who had experienced some horrific things. She has survived, and she has grown. She is a modern day heroine – someone who takes a terrible circumstance and overcomes.
Every person that would have come by my booth would have been invited to make a purchase and to also write a note of encouragement for our heroine. This quilt was going to be part of her journey as she graduated from Treasure Home, the place where she has been nurtured and where she has gained the skills for her next chapter.
Unfortunately, the Governor of Kentucky made the decision to cancel this weekend’s Market.
Instead of letting this put a stop to the Special Treasure project, I need your help to make something even more beautiful out of this situation.
Let’s make diamonds! Here’s how:
If everyone did this, we could have this quilt filled with hope, compassion and inspiration before she leaves Treasure Home.
As a bonus, every soap you purchase will include the cost of a bar of soap for other Kentucky children are overcoming similar circumstances.
Would you please take a moment and make a difference in the life of a child today? It would mean the world to her.
PS – After you’ve helped, use the share buttons below to tell your friends.
Hyssop Tree will be permanently closed starting March 31, 2021.
